BREW

Nederlands

Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless is a standard that was developed by Qualcomm to make it possible to execute an application on different mobile communication devices.

BREW enables users to download and install applications including ring tones and content to BREW-enabled mobile phones.

BREW was originally developed for cdmaOne and CDMA2000 handsets, but has since been ported to other air interfaces including GSM/GPRS, and UMTS.
