Telecom ABC - N
Nomadic use in telecommunications means that the location of the terminal may change but is stationary while in use. This terminal may be a wireless modem to get access to a terrestrial wireless network but can also be a satellite terminal.
The difference between nomadic use and mobile use is that in mobile use the terminal can also be used while moving. In mobile use it might be necessary to perform handovers within the network to keep a connection between the network and the mobile user.
