Nederlands

The microwave band ranges from 1 GHz to 100 GHz. This band is subdivided in a number of subbands. These names originated as code names in the 2th World War. After the war the code names were adopted by the IEEE. These military names are still widely used, especially in satellite, radar and aviation technology, both military and commercial.
