iDEN

iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) is a proprietary standard from Motorola for wireless communications. iDEN integrates the mobile phone with a two way (push to talk) radio, dispatch messaging and data communications. iDEN uses radio channels with a bandwidth of 25 kHz in the 800 MHz band in e.g. the U.S. or the 1.5 GHz in e.g. Japan. iDEN is based on TDMA technology.

iDEN is in use in the United States, Canada, South America, Israel and some countries in the Far East.
