HEVC
(High Efficiency Video Coding)

HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) is a new video compression standard. It is developed jointly by ISO/IEC MPEG and ITU-T VCEG. This new technology may achieve up to 50% video compression efficiency gain compared to MPEG-4 at a cost of greater computation power. A wide range of video resolutions is expected to be covered, from low resolution to UHD.
