Full duplex

Nederlands

A full duplex connection is a connection where transmission in both directions at the same time is possible. Typical examples of a full duplex connection are the plain old telephone service and the mobile telephone service.

Both directions can be separated in time or in frequency. This is called Time Division Duplex (TDD) and Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) respectively.
