Dual band

Dual band is a term used to denote a mobile that can transmit and receive on two different frequency ranges. It is a term used mainly in association with mobile communications. A dual band GSM can operate on both a GSM900 and a GSM1800 network.

In the U.S. a dual band mobile phone operates on both the 800 MHz and the 1900 MHz band.
